Organized by West Richland Police Department (WRPD) & West Richland Community Care Foundation, Enterprise and Libby Middle Schools are going paw-to-paw in a friendly competition to collect pet food for the beloved animals of West Richland seniors in need! From the winning schools total (determined by weight of donations), one class will score a pizza party!
The competition runs April 9-29.
Items Needed: unopened pet food items (bags, cans, treats). Any brand of food is accepted. Smaller, lightweight bags (6lbs or less) are helpful for our senior recipients.
Students and staff can drop off at Libby or Enterprise Middle Schools. The public can donate at the WRPD lobby (7920 W. Van Giesen St., West Richland) and select the school bin of their choice to add to the school's total.
Polar, WRPD’s therapy dog, will announce the winner on National Therapy Animal Day April 30, 2025.
Items will be distributed through Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels. Items above West Richland senior needs will be used to replenish the Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels Pet Pantry.
