Michelle Lane is one of 12 school librarians who recently received the Washington Library Association’s 2021 President’s Award for their efforts to support teachers providing remote and online instruction during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lane and her teammates built the WA Digital TeachKit, which provides profiles and tips on numerous online tools and guides on various elements of remote learning, from classroom management to promoting student choice.
"The collaboration, creativity, and work of this team in creating a resource to support their community of educators, especially in a time when many can feel so professionally isolated, is more than worthy of recognition," said Danielle Miller, the association's 2021 president. "This is a resource that will continue to contribute to the field and offer librarians and other educators a survival kit to effectively use digital learning tools and services.
Join us in celebrating Michelle for her amazing contribution!
