Practice Dates and Times
We will be meeting in the gym at school on the following dates:
- December 2,3,4,5,9,10,11,12,16,17,18,19.
- January 6,7,8,9,13,14,15,16,22,23,27,28,29,30.
- February 3,4,5,6,10,11,12,13,14.
Time is 6:00 am to 7:30 am. We must have practices from 6:00 am -7:30 because our gym is used for after school sports. If there is snow on the ground, or school is cancelled the day before because of snow or freezing rain, we will not have practice. If your student has a zero hour, we can have them practice and then go to band practice.
State Shoot
The state shoot is the weekend of February 13-14 at the Benton-Franklin County Fairgrounds. The state shoot lasts all day. We will only be shooting one day and will try our best to sign up archers on Friday February 14th to shoot. More information will be provided the closer we get to the state shoot. There will be a one-way bus from school to the fairgrounds for the state shoot on Friday. Archers will need transportation home from the state shoot.
Equipment
Students must use our school bows and arrows. They cannot bring their own UNLESS they are NASP tournament bows that can be purchased at Ranch and Home. Please email coaches if you are interested, and we can help you through the purchasing process to get the correct bow.
Associated Student Body Membership
All students need to be ASB members to participate in club sports. If your student does not have the ASB membership, it can be purchased at the office or online through the EMS website. There are no club dues, but there is a fee for the state shoot. If there is a need, the school can pay for the fee. Registration for the state tournament is 1/18/2025. Your archer needs to let us know by this 1/14/25 if they are shooting in the state shoot.
Other Tournaments
There will be a tournament in Connell on January 24, 2025, and one on February 7th at the Mid-Columbia Partnership in Kennewick. The Connell shoot will start at 8:45 for the 3-D and flights will run every hour after that. The last flight will be at 4:30 and 4:45 in the afternoon. The Mid-Columbia Partners shoot deadline for registration is February 1, 2025. The archery coaches will need to register your archers for all tournaments.
